Well maintained ground in Mysore. Advantage is that all the public is allowed to use the synthetic track but we need a pair of shoes. It's good and many people will be there at mornings and evenings. You get coaching to all kinds of athletic games that is indoor and outdoor. A new swimming pool is also built there which will be opening in a short duration. Gym facility for girls and boys are separate. Ladies hostel is also there encouraging women who are interested in sports. Children hostel is there for both boys as well as girls
Best place for jogging ang play football there very good local boys practice football everyday any body can join them after all you burn calories healthy way, even some trainers train children's for fitness and best place to practice yoga between 5 to 6 am.

Large indoor and outdoor stadium and place for all sorts of place but very poorly managed facility to say the least. No cleanliness at all in indoor stadium, toilets are stinking, no cafés or eating place, Parking though available is not in good shape.
Overall bad experience, no one to take care of these big government owned places. Wish someone takes care of such valuable properties for athletes!

Chamundi Vihar Stadium is a sports stadium located in Mysore, Karnataka, India. The stadium is named after the Chamundi Hills, which are located nearby and are considered a sacred site in Hindu mythology. The stadium is used for a variety of sports, including cricket, football, athletics, and kabaddi, and it has a seating capacity of around 15,000 spectators. The stadium is well-known for its well-maintained facilities and has hosted many national and international sporting events over the years. In addition to its sports facilities, the stadium also has a gym, a swimming pool, and other amenities for athletes and sports enthusiasts. The stadium is managed by the Mysore District Sports Association and is a popular venue for sporting events in the city.

The stadium is good and equipped with good amenities. It has its own Pros and Cons

Pros:▶️

athletic track and gym(its free for athletes, you might wanna pay if you are outsiders.. its around Rs.200-300), a decent high jump bed(Strictly for athletes, nobody else can use it), 2 long jump pits, Hurdles if you want to practice(anybody can use it i guess), discuss throw arena and javelin throw range of you want to practice (although you have to bring your own javelin, in case you are a national level player, you can borrow one from the sports room)
A swimming pool (its overly expensive, they charge Rs.80 for 40 mins, public batches are mostly afternoon.. but its neatly maintained).. ps: i suggest you going to University swimming pool..its Rs.50 for 45 mins and the cleanest.
A tennis court (anyone can practice, but there are coaches too who act as tho they own it)
2 basketball courts (One is not properly maintained as is open for general public, the nets are worn out! But the other one is neatly maintained..its for hostel players only)
A hockey court(for district and national players only)
An Indoor arena with basketball ball court and mats for various purposes like wrestling (Not open for general public)
A Kushti house(Gardi mane, you can join there if you want! Trust me the people are so nice and polite.. talk to them and they'll let you in.. not much fees..they ask for dedication and to bring your own things such as kushti shorts. You can contribute if you like)

Cons:❌

They dont turn on the lights in evening (But... If a coach calls and asks them to do so! They will do it instantly)
Athletes or coaches who give the training to their students tend to occupy first 2-3 track and last tracks in synthetic track! You can try running on 4th,5th or 6th track and moreover there is plenty of space outside too to run!
Sometimes the grass overgrows..they don't cut it on time!
One of the issues is that of football players( they play outside the boundary but as it is a mud ground outside, they make hell lot of smoky mud(Dhoolu jaasti))

Finally i have to say! They don't charge for using athletic track .. it guess that's a biggest pro!

Hope you find my review useful.

PS: dogs aren't allowed inside if you take it from front gate.. try using back gate(its near swimming pool). But please take care of to take your dog to the athletic track. And i would also urge others not to wear slippers while you enter the track (it is seen as a temple, and wearing sandles is a sign of disrespect).

Stadium has both indoor and outdoor games facilities. If you are looking to be fit or a place where you can work out, this would be the best option. Located near Nazarbad

Very good place for walk...you have ample space for raw workout
Though the main track area is reserved only for registered users other spaces of statium can be accessed.
