Marena is the sports complex of SIKKIM MANIPAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. It has a indoor court uses for multiple games like badminton, basketball and others. Sometimes it is also been used as a auditorium. The sound system of the auditorium is not proper. The management is working to fix the sound issue. Some great events has been organised in Marena.

TEDxSMIT had been organised at Marena for the year of 2017. It was one of the most important technical event of SMIT.

EM ( ENTREPRENEURS MEET)
had been organised at Marena for the year of 2017 and 2018. The event was sponsored by ORACLE. It was one of the best event ( for both the year) of SMIT. Where many new startup company participated. And many successful entrepreneurs shared their views.

The comedy night of KAALRAV'18 Was organised. Biswa Kalyan Rath came was invited. KAALRAV is the official cultural fest of SMIT.

Tech Adrista for the year of 2018 was organised at Marena.

The most important event organised at Marena still now is All India Senior Ranking Badminton Championship For the year of 2017. PV SINDHU was the chief guest in the event.

Usually Thursday Marena is closed for the maintenance purposes.

It has a swimming pool also at the basement. And a squash court.

This sports complex has a temperature controlled swimming pool, badminton court, basketball court other as well as it also hosts the food court.

Net & clean also peaceful surrounding on right bank of River Teesta at Majhitar, E-Sikkim. This Sports Complex was constructed by my good friends name Sunny, William Tamang, Bappi Gurung & Dushandeep Pradhan as Contractor's site Executive Civil Engineer.
