Akshaya mess is the best sathvic brahmin food (home style) one can get in Sringeri. It is very close to temple gopuram. Next Bhagyalakshmi stores. Tasty food, no excessive masala or oil. One must visit if you visit Sringeri. They also sell home made appalams, chips, sambar, rasam powder, pickles etc.This is very authentic place for brahmin food. If you are looking for plateful of cups and items that you would never able to cherish or finish, then, this is not a place for you. This is truly tastefully prepared home food and if you are with aged family members, please do visit.

We ordered idli vada which was very good but they have limited breakfast options. However it’s not the breakfast you should be worried about, the chips that they sell is old stock and jackfruit papad is not 100% jackfruit and its mixed with other ingredients which I didn’t like. So, you can have breakfast there but do not purchase anything from them.

The person who served the meals was rude ..We had been on 3/05/2022. He did not serve properly. He did not had a smiling face too...They should have proper etiquette while serving food.

The food was very good! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The place is a kitchen attached to a home, and is family run. Worth giving a try.

Clean and tidy. We had good meals if you are meals lover. Place is covered with Yappie posters everywhere, seems famous for Snacks and Maggie.

One of the best hotels in Sringeri. Both breakfast and lunch are good. Hygienic and tasty food served here. Also, variety of homemade products available. Its walkable distance right opposite temple.

Delicious South Indian meals!
It is a homely place on Bharathi street and delicious rice meals are served on Banana leaf. Unlimited rice meals are available at Rs. 70. Serving contains Rice, Sambar/ Rassam/ Butter milk, beet salad, papad and payasam.
