Delhi's first and oldest mall. It has McDonald's, Pizza Hut, KFC... and many more. Decathlon is the main attraction here. There is also a park behind Ansal Plaza with beautiful flowers and lots of trees.

Nice ambiance.
I'm amazed to know that Ansal Plaza, Delhi is the oldest major shopping mall in Delhi as well as the third oldest in India. It was opened on 1 November 1999 with the launch of Shoppers Stop in Delhi (its first branch to be part of a mall, now Decathlon Khel Gaon).

🍔 KFC 🍗, 🍟 McD 🍦, 🍕Pizza But 🥞, 🍜 Kofuku 🍣like that good eating houses are available. Some cloth shops like Meena bazaar then sports equipment shops like Decathlon and so on are open. And some luxury restaurants and bars like Te Amo, Imperfecto Pub, Amuse, The Sky High, and so on. But many shops are not open.

Since it is one of the oldest malls in India, its history, as well as the shop's details, should be explained on the ground floor of the mall for others who don't know about it. We just visited the mall and now only came to know about the history of the mall. Even foreigners who visited the mall might not know about all these as well.

And there's a beautiful garden behind the mall which is worth visiting and spending time.
The main highlight yesterday was it was raining and it's a cool climate.

It's a very lively place in the evening with a beautiful landscape of sunset along with the Hudco tower.

Most of the shops are closed, in ruins or under construction.

This place has lost its sheen. It is deserted. But thanks to Decathlon ,there is some movement of the customers otherwise the place is a heaven for teenagers looking for selfies and some dark corners of the shady parking. The structure is well maintained so are the toilets..
The eateries are only for rich. And there is choice for some good food varieties.

It will always be a 5 star for me because of my memories of childhood when this used to be the first mall of Delhi filled with laughter and joy. I really really really miss how it was there but now it looks all abandoned and sad, actually like the place is crying I know sounds kinda poetic but just can wait for its renovation. One good news about the place is that it's has the only nearest Decathlon outlet for people from Lajpat and places around as the other outlets seem quite far.

Amazing place to roam around all through the location. Lots of fast food restaurants like kfc, MacDonald, Te ammo etc. There are electronic products and fabric products too. In short its like a mall but not exactly like a mall.

Ansal Plaza, Delhi is the oldest shopping mall of Delhi launched on 1 November 1999. It is also the third oldest in India. With the launch of first branch of Shoppers Stop in Delhi. Now it is replaced by Decathlon Khel Gaon. The mall was established by Ansal Properties & Infrastructure Ltd. It is located at Andrews Ganj on Khel Gaon Marg, in South Delhi. There is an amphitheatre enclaved within the circular shaped plaza. It also has good parking facilities for cars. Today, the Ansal Properties Group has opened many more malls by the same name in Delhi and the surrounding NCR region. Apart from housing offices and offering visitors shopping, dining and myriad entertainment options, these malls often act as venues for cultural events.
Being on the main road it is easily approachable.
