Gajalee

Gajalee is serving some of the best sea food in Mumbai at a reasonable price, I visited the Vile Parle outlet during my visit to Mumbai.

I was alone for this dinner, the outlet is an old establishment. They do not serve liquor at this outlet, never the less they make it up with the food.

I was quickly given a seat and was assigned a server, my dinner was as per his recommendations and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

To start the meal I was given Sol Kaadi (Which is a Kokum and Coconut milk Traditional drink) it was spicy but too heavy for me so could not drink the whole glass.

Then was served Achari Prawns & Baby Shark Curry with Roti & Rice. The Prawns were really nice, I have had it before as well at a different outlet and goes well with roti.
The fish curry was decent nothing much to complain, overall the food was tasty and must try if you in the area.

The service was fast and the staff was very courteous. The price for my meal was 1450 INR which is very reasonable as per me and the food I ordered.

Overall a must visit for the tasty food & good service at reasonable price.

Gajalee has amazing seafood, especially the crab 🦀 and the lobster 🦞 butter garlic. The place has not changed in 20 years that I have been visiting. Good food and place is clean. Must try for seafood lovers...

I never thought about writing a review of my second home ! It’s not just food but the people who run the place and everyone who serves here. They are my extended family. I am sure everyone knows about Gajalee food by now in INDIA and abroad too as they have branches ! Everyone visits Gajalee for their super delicious food . Each and every dish has a class of its own. Even solkadi makes ur soul happy ! In case u haven’t gone there , then u r really missing the best food !

“Best Konkani Seafood I ever had in Mumbai”

We visited Gajalee with high expectations and I can comfortably say it lives up to the hype!
We went on a Wednesday night. But judging by the crowd; I would suggest that you book a table in advance if you are planning to go on a weekend.
Ambience was warm and inviting and the staff was friendly. After we settled down, we were shown the catch of the day. Everything was super fresh!
We ordered Bombil Fry which were crispily fried to the perfection. Chicken sukka was served in lipsmacking masala. Fish served in the curry that came with Rawas thali was too, cooked to perfection. Prawns Biryani was star of the show in terms of portion size and spices. Solkadhi here is a must try!
We finished our wonderful dinner with a heavenly caramel custard.
Contrary to many reviews we found online; they do accept cards.
In my opinion, it’s a must go place for a seafood lover!

Mind blowing place .... Never visited a sea food restaurant that serves such amazing food not even in Goa. The fish quality and size is amazing. Taste is a perfect 10 on 10. The staff are super prompt. Highly recommend a visit here.

This seafood restaurant has a good reputation on Google maps. The food was delicious and the waiters were very attentive. However, I chose a fish from a basket of seafood and had it fried as a specialty, but when I looked at the bill, I was surprised to see that it was very expensive compared to other dishes.

The food is amazing. Goan fresh sea food. The deserts(pastry) are not that great. As a sea food restaurant it is one of the best you can dine in mumbai.

The service is good. The experience is good. The interior is a little unpleasant that’s the one unpleasant..

But food is just great…

I've been going here for 30 years and the service and food does not ever disappoint. The crabs the king prawns and the lobsters are smacking. But we also love the fish thali, my personal favorites are the prawn biryani and bombil fry and also of course the fish Tikka. We also love love the mussels curry. Oh my God the food ♥️
