I heard it is a good school like concept wise. But some one said, child education is very slow, they can't competent when they come to higher grade with other students from other schools. Can you please anyone reply on this.

Beautiful place.
Both my children attended this school.
They attend UCLA and Carnegie Mellon presently.
I give all the credit to the school and teachers.
It is wholesome experience with emphasis on all-round development.

My 2 children studied here and I had to pull out one of my child in mid session 8th standard because of in competency of teachers, the other child I will be pulling out in the next session. I am writing this review so that no parent and child should go through what.we have gone thru, it is unbiased.

First of all, it is not a complete Waldorf school, it is a mixture of CBSE and they also follow the “so called Waldorf style of teaching” in other words it is like "Kadambam". This school is good if your child is not interested to go to conventional school, there are activities and less of studies and homework so child will be happy to go.
The teachers do not have a conventional school background most of them have not even completed Bachelor of education, it is kind of run by family and friends, the child will be extremely poor in spellings, if your child does not like to write or read, the teachers will not bother they will leave him/her and since there is no strictness the child will end up as a free bull.

Few teachers live in the pseudo world of Waldorf way of teaching, attending workshops/seminars etc. but that really do not work in India and is far from practicality
If you expecting that your child to get into IIT good business school etc.. Not the right place.
They do not follow CBSE books, few teachers have their own devised way to make the course content which they say is as per CBSE syllabus and also in line to “So called Waldorf way”. It’s difficult for the parents to track/help the child because there is no reference.
If your child is stubborn, does not want to read/write but can understands the concept, school will just leave him/her to do what they want even in the class they will allow the child to do Origami while others are studying (this happened with my child).
Feedback mechanism is extremely poor the teachers will not bother to periodically inform about the areas of improvement there is no conscious corrective actions, especially in senior classes, also there is no serious effort (disciplined) put in by the teachers.

SECURITY
It is a major concern my small one nearly lost her eye, there was a fallen tree and my child was unattended after that incident they removed the tree.

Few good things.
Children are taught music from early age they are taught Recorder and singing
Gardening and carpentry
Craft work Knitting, Crochet, and Stitching
Food is provided, vegetarian and nutritious child has to carry fruit (for fruit time)

Again if your child does not do he/she will be left alone and it’s a gala time for the child because there is no mechanism to discipline the child.

Some of the teachers will not hesitate to brand your child that he/she has learning difficulties to cover up their incompetency and to put all blame on child instead of providing solutions they will brand the child and its a difficult time for parents (I pray Bhagwan no one should go thru that hell)

Bottom line, it is a good school till 3-4th grade maximum, when the serious education should start it may not be the right place, if you move your child from Abhaya to any other school it is going to be a nightmare for you and your child will become like a pressure cooker.

Fee is quite high, for a class 2 child you will end up paying close to 40 K per quarter (including food)
Please contact me if you have any question, end of the day it is matter of a child's future.
Update:
I have pulled out my other child from this school. My elder child's class reduced from 28 to 16 students now.

This is a genuine review from a parent

Wonderful school and every kid is keenly observed with regards to their development. Timely review meetings with parents helps you to get an idea about your child and his development.

I encourage every parent to consider joining their kids in woldorf curriculum as the methods of teaching and atmosphere at school will have a holistic effect on your personality and wellbeing at all levels.

Would be good if the management can lobby to continue woldorf curriculum until year 10 .

Best wishes to everyone and i personally highly recommend abahaya school for any parent who would want to consider a different and holistic experience to their kids during childhood without stressing on ranks and other stuff.

Went to a session where they explained their way teaching as it is different from normal schooling. It is more a practical approach to kids learning. Teacher's continue from their 1st standard to 5th. Fees are bit higher than normal school.
