Schwartz Higher Secondary School

In his school years, Dr A P j Kalam had average grades but was described as a bright and hardworking student who had a strong desire to learn. He spent hours on his studies, especially mathematics.After completing his education at the Schwartz Higher Secondary School, Ramanathapuram, Kalam went on to attend Saint Joseph's College, Tiruchirappalli, then affiliated with the University of Madras, from where he graduated in physics in 1954.He moved to Madras in 1955 to study aerospace engineering in Madras Institute of Technology.

237 years old institution with an excellent history. Must visit place.

Has 5,6 seperate Blocks for Classrooms.. No block is more than two storey tall.. it should be appreciated because we are dealing with children here and no one knows what they will do.. the school was once in the District Rank holder Race among other best schools in the District, that good was the education.. but don't know the condition right now as heard that the Admission rates have dropped..

Wonderful nostalgic journey back yo my school days from 1955 to 1962. Alfred Jacob was my headmaster and Mr. Ebenkan was my class teacher. Muthusway
