As a former student of this reputed school, I can say that the teaching quality imparted today has immensely improved, thankfully. There is always scope for improvement. As they say, the school is the second home for kids, and it is vital that students learn something by the end of the day. After all, that is the purpose of parents sending their kids to school. Unfortunately, I don't have too many fond memories from the school and don't intend to delve into it. A few decades ago, you got a feeling that the school was only meant for brilliant students. If that is the case, then where will students who score low grades or marks go? In today's competitive environment, marks alone don't guarantee success; your skills & talent do. Luckily, today's teachers have changed the outlook from the narrow mentality for the greater good of society. I think they have been trained on the importance of developing the overall personality development and instilling the inner confidence of the students so that they can give back something to the society shortly. I think that is crucial. The current batch of teachers is doing a fantastic job teaching and ensuring that the kids are happy with the environment, which I feel is more important. That probably has to do with the hard work and dedication of a few standout teachers, like Renita Muthuswamy (the former principal), who sincerely followed the school objectives of developing individuals in humility, integrity, and compassion for others. May her tribe increase. I request other teachers take a leaf from her book and impart crucial knowledge to children in a loving manner. Remember, their future lies in your hands. May I add that I cannot recommend the school for kids with special abilities as they won't be able to survive the high standards expected from teachers. On that note, I would conclude by saying that we can sincerely hope that current quality of teaching is maintained as long as the school operates.

I joined Ida Scudder School in 6th grade. First month, I didn't like the school! But day after day, I was like "I should never leave this school"! If you ask me, Freedom is maximum in Scudder! Promotion is kinda strict in 8th, 9th, 10th but You could easily get promoted even if you are an average kid because the teachers here are wonderful! If a student makes a mistake, they dont confront them infront of other students. Instead they call the students personally & discuss about the issue(there maybe some exceptions) PT periods are epic but some games maybe restricted sometimes but it was funny arguing with sir for the ball😂 School may look old from outside but Its top notch on the inside😉 Smart classes, AV rooms & Labs are actually better than many other schools! The restrooms even have a seperate block & its clean👌 Music has a special part here! They never care if you go to music classes or not. If you play well, you are absolutely welcomed (Like me😌) The only disadvantage of the school is, When you leave the school, you're gonna miss it🤧🥺
Most of the students are friendly (Rumours say Scudderites have too much attitude 😂 well its not true 🤣) Getting admission may kinda be complicated here because its not like a normal school.
But it's the best school in Vellore (I would even say TN!)

Middle class peoples can't study here, only can see the school from roadside. I don't know what is the vision they had for this school. I don't see a true christianity while i approach admission for my child.
