My both daughter's studied in 'The School' - KFI, earlier located in Besant Nagar. It is certainly one of the best school I know, for the school thought them to think, be kind and compassionate to all, none divisiveness and leadership. Today they are both playing a positive role in their respective occupation for which much of credit does go to 'The School' - KFI (Krishnamurth Foundation of India)

We had high hopes on the school based on the reviews. However it was a disappointing experience for us. We went for an admission enquiry for which we were requested to wait. After a couple of mins a school lady staff attended us and treated as if we were not eligible even for enquiry. It was a very rude behaviour and doesn't match the principles of the great JK. Hope it happened only for me.

This is the first school in my experience which was very transparent in Admission Policy. Please refer their website. Their language is very polite and courteous in every communication. They don't DEMAND donation like other Schools around it. I really wish and hope I could donate more to them, that's how kind they are. Their fees is reasonable and the food provided for children is nutritious. I find them very inspiring. The people we have met so far are passionate about their work and are very ethical. Even when there are lapses at times (Which they always address when brought to their notice), I feel happy and safe to send my child to The School.

As a parent, I am happy to see my child have an holistic education.

I feel sorry for the previous reviewer. Don't let your hopes down. Probably who ever attended to you was having a bad day. The School Admission details are on their website. Please check it. The Applications are being issued from Feb 18, 2019 for the academic year.

I totally agree with the previous reviewer Sailalitha Anandvel. I have applied for my child this year. Admission process are going good so far.

Looking forward on the admission.

One of the best school in Chennai, even in India itself. This is the way a school should be.

Heard lots of good things about the school and its principles of teaching, we tried admission for our 4 yr old daughter last year.

But right from the get go, pretty much all the staff before the interview were pretty rude right from the gate. Also one of the staff over there got irritated when he saw our daughter running around.

The interview went on fine. But after the interview, while walking back towards the gate another lady came up to us (i presume its another staff) and asked us "who are you and what do you want ? " Kind of questions (again it felt obnoxious of her like she didnt know there would be interviews that day or was the way she is used to talk to people but not sure).

It felt as though we werent welcomed there for some reason. It made us think our kids in school wouldnt be treated right at that moment.

Maybe it was just us,

I am sure its a great institution but they need to take care of these small issues.

We got admission in KFI for our kid. But we decided to opt out at the last minute. We had been expecting the school to be the most accepting environment based on Jiddu Krishnamurthy's views. But we were so disappointed during the interview when the school coordinator commented about our son's lengthy hair. She mentioned that as per rule book boys need to have short trimmed hair. This was so surprising to me because we wouldn't expect a school like KFI to ask us to look at rule books.
If there was a proper explanation about why they expect a specific hairstyle for boys, it would have been nice.
Her comments made me feel that they have regressive views about how each gender has to present themselves. Something that needs to be addressed.
