St. Josephs Boys AI Higher Secondary School

I joined the family of St.Joseph's in std 3 in 2008.This school thought me about life that I really needed in my future apart from regular education.Thank you St.Joseph's for making me what I am today.

I have no clue of how it functions now, but it was the most useless school I have studied, apart from the sports facilities and extra curricular activities this school is an absolute waste of time! The people who studied in the boarding sections might not know this but they treat kids from the non boarding sections like a burden! The academic staff were the worst I encountered (Except for the History & Geography teachers), they failed me twice calling me unfit for education etc etc, just because I used to argue with the teachers and they never used to accept my side of the argument! I was not a topper but definitely not dumb! So I joined an another school, cleared all my exams with ease, got into a premier institution (on merit) to do biotechnology, never had any arrears (I was among a handful who never kept any arrears), Later joined a top B-school (on merit) in the country (again no arrears) when I passed out. Worked with various MNCs in top notch positions handling countries across the globe!
Wouldn't recommend this school if your kid is creative and logical!

I studied here between 1998 and 2005 and represented SJC at the inter school sports all these years. Mr Sagayanathan is probably one of the best mentors you will meet on the field.
Faculty and infrastructure is THE BEST. I attribute my success in life to my upbringing at SJC

DARCY HALL - Very poor maintenance of hostel facilities. Dormitory and the bathrooms are looking unclean. Dormitory is looking congested with less space. There is no proper air circulation near the bathrooms. The place is always dark and the used clothes always remain wet and this can lead to skin infections. Hostel warden for class groups below 7th grade is not showing enough care towards the students. There are no helpers to maintain the Dormitory. No helping staffs to assist students with bathing needs, bed maintenance and other special requirements needs i have seen many schools where they have helping staff who monitor the hostel students while bathing, arranging beds, cleaning the dorm, ironing the clothes, helping with shoe polishing. For the fees which they are charging, it is unfair to leave students with poor care and monitoring. The way how they canvass while visiting the school for admission is not reflected in the way how they care for the hostel students. Too much delay with stitching the uniforms; students are forced to wear the same uniform dress for the next day. It is insane to wear the same dress again for the next whole day because you already wore it fully on the previous day. I never recommend this school to anyone unless and untill they improve their services.

Good old SJC! Forever in my heart as the place where I learnt to deal with life's pleasures and tribulations. I got up to every prank that I could think of aided by my trusted friends and was roundly smacked when I was caught! I joined in 1969 and finished in 1974 as a boarder and it was the best period of my life. If Bro. Flemming was alive I would tell him proudly that my shoes shine till I can "see my face" on them and that I can stand perfectly still with my back straight! I still remember our school anthem... "Fair the blue banner" and our motto, "Non Quam Non Paratus." I hope I've got that right! My suggestion... JOIN SJC!

It's not just school it's home for us. I had lot of experiences here and i always have an beautiful place in my heart for this school and I had the best life in here and proud to be an josephite. All staffs were extremely efficient to handle us especially Sir Nicholas is my favourite. And Thankyou for making me who Iam today.

I guess most them call it paradise and yes its a true statement indeed .Lots of cherising memories with this place ive spent my golden days of my life here and also its an reputed institution in nilgiris stand within 10of the best english speaking schools of nilgiris .
