North Mumbai Welfare Society's High School

My time spent here was not good. I was periodically harassed by certain people who were celebrated as "teachers" both physically and mentally. This was a traumatic experience because it was supposed to be a place of learning and wisdom. The reason for two stars is because some of these teachers were really good educators and I hope the best for them.
Note to parents though :
1. There is rampant bullying amongst student groups.
2. Blatant favouritism of students by teachers. Hence not all students get the same attention. This may not be entirely the teachers fault because the ratio of students to teacher during my time was upwards of 60:1.
3. There is corporal punishment and teachers who do this never really get reprimanded. (And before you say anything about that being ok, if you really want to punish your children I have nothing to say about your parenting).
4. There is mental harassment as in some teachers/staff will insult your children to painful degree in front of their peers (If you've ever been insulted before in front of your friends as an adult remember its the same for a child).
5. Bussing system was decent.

Hopefully things have changed for the better now.

Used to be a great school from its inception till about 2005-06 run by local South Indians . From early 2000s middle and upper middle class people stopped admitting their children here. Now it is equivalent to an English Medium Municipal school and filled with lower class rowdy elements.

Best school ever proud to be a 9th student 😭missing it alot.......
