Over crowded at the time of prayers..and mostly keep the temple closed... Another memory of this place is that an aged lady sits outside the temple and sell momos for 20rs .. the momos is kind of a bhatura .. which has a stuffing of potatoes... This momos is very famous in macleodganj ...

It’s too hyped a place, was extremely overcrowded they had shut the monetary without informing too much chaos, the market around is also too overpriced, Locals are not friendly at all I would recommend Dalhousie anytime over Dharamshala

Our first night's stop on the Manali-Leh highway. We were in the block closest to the road/furthest from the dining area. The rooms were large and clean enough, comfortable beds and pillows, a window that opened for fresh clean country air, and a large bathroom. However, nowhere to put your luggage except on the floor (backbreaking!), and no hot water (?? Why? when other say how wonderful the showers are! Erratic supply it seems) and no rubbish bin. It was also noisy (traffic and numerous dogs barking til all hours). The dining arrangements were good. Plenty of buffet-style tasty vegetarian food at good value. As well as drinks or tea on the verandah overlooking the countryside. It is a lovely area to go for a walk to see the village, monastery and temple. All in all, a good, relaxing rest on a tiring road trip.

Dalai Lama Temple, also known as Tsuglakhang Temple, is a politico-religious centre in Dharamsala. Ideal for peaceful meditation and religious rumination, the temple is full of lamas at all points of the day chanting on prayer wheels or beads. Wonderful place and peaceful place. You have to walk a lot to visit this whole place. The whole place is really clean and mentained properly.
