Still serving the best pastries in town. The chicken sandwich though was surprisingly disappointing. Stuffed with Mayo and pretty much nothing else. Service can definitely improve. Coming back after a decade-so good memories.

Sakleys is a pretty famous outlet of Nainital which even has restaurants in Delhi NCR. So keeping that in mind went to try them for a small lunch. The ambience of the place is very quaint and cute and the servers were good. But the food was pretty mediocre especially for the price. As other reviews also say , most of the items were not available. I just had a Mars shake which was good and cold coffee which was also good , but also cause a person to feel a bit uncomfortable in their stomach later in the day. The cake which we wanted wasn't available so went for coffee walnut which was just decent. The chicken cheese burger I ordered was pretty pathetic for the price . Pretty much no chicken in it and the buns were too big. Cheese overpowered everything in the burger. The fries were decent. For the price portions are small and most items aren't available and realistically nothing great.
The service is non existent so for the price one is only getting ambience which isn't the best either.

Nice place with good background music. Although some food items are way more expensive than usual. Not only cakes and pastries, but also snack items are served here. Also the walls consisting of old "Nayneetal" are attractive.

Sakley's was established in 1944 and is an iconic restaurant of Nainital. It sits at the Mallital end of Naini Lake, and though it's small, it's compact and very popular. Right inside the door is a display case full of baked goods and desserts, which you can either take away or eat there (they also do a good array of coffees and other drinks, including shakes and smoothies). In addition, the menu includes an extensive range of dishes - continental (burgers, sandwiches, soups, pizza, pasta, etc), Chinese, North Indian, etc.

We were here for lunch and ordered two fruit beers, a smoky chicken pizza (6", cut into four quarters), a minced mutton sizzler, crumb fried fish with chips, a lemon tart and two coffees. Most of the food was pretty good, though I didn't care for the chips which came with the fish as well as the sizzler - too limp and not nice. Overall, though, we enjoyed this meal. Service was adequate too, though I think the price (Rs 2,500 without service charges/tip) was a little on the expensive side.

Some good food in the heart of Nainital. The oldest bakery apparently, which traces the whole history of Nainital back with photos and the charm of the colonial era on their cafe wall. The cakes were good except for the Apple Pie and the mousse cake. They have a variety of pastas and other continental food. The staff was friendly and the place was neat and clean.

Every item was delicious and the lemon tart was the show stopper. The chocolate eclair served didn't taste much fresh that's why a 4 star for food, otherwise rest of all items were upto the mark. Will definitely visit again to taste what were left this time.

We ordered the Tofee banana pie and ate bow in love with it. Never eating it at any other place. Apart from that we ordered cinnamon roll and the the roll was amazing, topped with cream cheese. The cinnamon was just perfect not too much. Definitely recommending.

It was a wonderful experience here at Sakley's, Nainital. The food was tasty and delicious. Both quantity and quality was good. The service and Ambience was good as well. We tried veg and non-veg pizza and it was really good. We tried banoffee and it was good as well. We even tried steak as well, i think it can be a bit improved. The drinks and beverages were okay.
Overall it was a fine experience. I'm not sure if it is worth the hype.
