Mona Lisa Cafe

In the old city of Varanasi, this place is 25 years old, run by the sweetest kindest grandpa, with freshly baked goods every morning, nice spot to just chill, prices are reasonable and affordable food is clean and good.
I recommend the banana chocolate pancake, they also have an option for Soy milk

This place has a nice ambiance and good rooftop seating. I had cold coffee and Banana Chocolate Cake slice. The coffee was very nice. Cake slice was kind of dry. The owner is very polite. I enjoyed talking to him.

One of the best and cheap places to eat in Varanasi! The food it’s really good, I tried Indian food and western food and both of them was really taste. The staffs are really nice, always being friendly and trying to make you fell comfortable. I even got a cinnamon roll as a treat from the restaurant. I highly recommend stop by at this place.

Given that it was conveniently located close to my hostel, I stopped several times at Mona Lisa Cafe. During my first visit, a lovely cow stopped by and got some bread from the owners :)

The cute café offers different cuisines like Indian, Korean and western as well as desserts.

I did not love the Indian dish I ordered compared to other places I have eaten during my stay in the country. I appreciated that they had several vegan options on the menu, including desserts. Apparently they do not use any butter, eggs etc. for most of the cakes. Be sure to clarify though!

The service was ok. Prices are reasonable.

This cafe/restaurant is a gem in an alleyway of Varanasi! Good food, good service, good prices, clean and nice - TOP experience! We will come back!

Coffee was pretty good (for India), apple crumble was quite nice, veggie soup was a little too peppery and we expected big chunks of veggies, potato pakoras were a bit greasy. Owner was friendly. Price was quite standard. Overall, it wasn’t bad at all!

Wonderful little cafe and bakery. The pastries were really delicious -- especially the apple crumble. There's lots of seating and there's some people doing work on laptops like in a Western cafe.

The food is good and decently priced! The variety of dishes to choose from is also pretty vast! But the service unfortunately is a little too slow. So, come here only when you have plenty of time!
