ACHAYATHIS RESTAURANT

Okay so firstly the food, veg meals was OKAY especially credits to the rasam just amazing!!! The sambhar was also very tangy and tasty just the way i like it. Coming to the sides, very less in number especially for the price of 220 way too costly. There is no sweet dish with the meal unlike other cheaper restaurants and the SERVICE WAS SLOW. We went to have a meal for an hour ended up staying there for 3 HOURS!! The waiters are very less in number and highly confused with what they do. They say they will bring and end up avoiding you.

Since its a non veg restaurant, the place reeked of fish and a mix of everything. Very bad stench! For vegetarians, highly no no!!!

The food is also VERY COSTLY! Compared to the quantity and the quality you can get far better than that in other restaurants. Especially with such a huge waiting time for the food to come not worth it.

Maybe for non veg lovers, but I wouldn’t recommend going there twice. Not worth the money or time!

Please note, We had to cancel more than 3 items just because of the delay in serving.!!! VERY BAD SERVICE!!! And the restaurant wasn’t even full, hardly 2-3 tables occupied , so why the slow service?

When I was walking through the streets of Chennai , and I was so hungry. Suddenly I saw the name of this hotel , the name implies that its a Malayali hotel, and the food they were serving is also kerala food. Inside were very neat and clean. The interior arrangements also good. Then I ordered Kerala parotta and Tomato Chicken curry. The server was very polite and he takes the order. He served the dish, the parotta was very crispy and tasty and the curry is also tasty, completely in Kerala style. I likes overall experience form there very much.

Very good authentic Kerala cuisine with nominal price and enough quantity for one person.
Flavours and spices are so so so authentic.
Must try: Chicken Kizhi Parotta

To get some keralite food in Chennai you have to spend more.

Amazing food. Had appam and stew and was the best stew i remember i had . Then fish meals was so nice honestly the first curry was so tasty didn't had any other dishes in the meals much. Mulgu meen and prawn with ghee rice is also fine.Staff was so supportive. Smiling faces and warm feeling.

Super Restrant if u are in and around of nugambakkam and if u are a kerala food lover, must try is there kerala parrotta, chicken Mapas, egg roast, meals, appam beef if u like, good Restrant to have hygienic food

One of the best place for authentic kerala cuisine. A traditional well maintained restaurant with a good and simple ambience. Clean and friendly staffs. We ordered their hot selling dishes. Beef kanthari, Achaythis chicken fry, Chicken biryani, Kizhi Porotta and Meen Mulakilittathe, Appam along with Coconut icecream and pulpy grape juice. Everything met the expectations except kizhi and pulpy grape juice. Kizhi porotta was dry and gravy was so not indulged into it. It was not succulent at all a disappointing one. Second one pulpy was okay but highly overpriced affair. The same glass in other place where we tasted costed 60 and was above par. Rest i would say beef kanthari was excellent, mulakilittathe was perfectly balanced and biriyani was flavourful delight.
