Modern is one of the typical restaurants in calicut with variety of dishes served here. Lunch time is the best time to visit. They provide different types of combos in biriyani. The latest addition the menu is BIRIYANI SADHYA & KALYANA BUCKET BIRIYANI. Do try this restaurant when your are in calicut, it's just walkable distance from kozhikode railway station.

We went there for their Kalyana biriyani in mind, and it was within expectation. Good biriyani with a couple of fried pieces. The rice and the masala flavour of the biriyani was good. The chicken though was not on the tender side.

Food is below average. Quantity is also less.
Bu lt the atmosphere and service are good. Only biriyani varieties are here and almost all tastes same.

Chicken kuruma - 3/5
Gundoor chicken - 4/5 (but over priced)
Grape juice - 1/5

Overall average food. Good ambience and cleanliness. Service was just ok.

Had chatti choru...Rs 170 for 1 plate. Food is fine but there is no verities in that. Expected chicken/fish verities combo and beef,chicken,fish combo...if we are saying you will not eat fish or beef they will add other items extra and remove unwanted items but in the combo options there is no options in it. they can add that but unfortunately it's not there...

Good & Tasty Kalyana Biriyani, But Gundur Chilli Chicken Price is Too High Its Just Fried Chicken With Tomato Sauce
And Some Staffs Need to Improvised their Behavior otherwise all Good

Kalyana biriyani at its best. Must try if you ever visit Kozhikode. Good ambience and great taste.
