Amrutham - Pure Andhra Style Cuisine

Located at MVP Colony,this place is known for the authentic Andhra cuisine they serve. The place is always busy mostly with take away orders. Ambience is decent and kind of homely. Ordered Amrutham special non veg thali and Royala Iguru. Though the thali menu has changed they agreed to serve the thali as per their old menu. Thali consists of two types of Biryani,steamed rice, sambar, rasam, dal, roti, fish pulusu, chicken fry, one veg curry, mutton/prawn curry, sweet(Mysore paak) and curd. Preparations were nice especially fish pulusu and Royala Iguru(prawn curry). Dishes were flavourful but not so much spicy and not much oily. Staffs are courteous and very helpful. Final verdict- definitely recommended.

Un Hygenic and no courtesy towards people. Food is average. Cost is high compared to Quality. Will accommodate only 30 people maximum. It is a mess basically. Lunch Veg Thali Rs 120/- and Special Thali Rs 170/-.
You can for a routene food and not for your taste.

Amazing food...there is no compromising in any of the dish we ordered fish fry and it' was really fresh and served hot hot 🔥 and tasted yumm..ad along with ordered for thali...for a kind of homely touch to our lunch...and that too turned out well..each and every item had different taste and no compromise in the quality...!! Would recommend to visit this strongly!!

Roti and chicken curry is good.
Would suggest to go for takeaway (helps you in saving time & money).

If authentic Andhra chicken means lots of chilli and very less oil... Then sorry to say.. i don't like Andhra chicken .
Even the saunf they offer looks dirty..
In my opinion Authenticity has to do nothing with the current trend... If we follow the current trend then "what is authentic?" And who certifies it. A humble question.

Pure Andhra style food available here. Taste of every dish was good. The behaviour of the waiters and staff was very good which enhanced the experience here

On our vizag trip, this was suggested by a local friend who stays in MVP Colony. Turns out this place is a heaven for people who want simple, hygienic, home made style food. The young guy near Entrance noticed that we were tourists and travelling in a bike all the way from Jharkhand and guided us through the menu and was extremely courteous in his approach.
A little chat about the pleasures of being in a relatively small city and it already felt like home.
We went there the second day too. It's a place wherein you really feel like you are welcome. This made my Vizag trip memorable.. .

There is a slight increase of prices in menu... I ordered two non veg thalis .. one is chicken thali and another one is fish thali ... The taste of the both thalis are really good especially the chicken thali... It remembered my child hood days in taste

After seeing other veg thalis I realized that veg thali has a more options than non veg thali

I will visit Amrutham again to taste another dish
