Quite and peaceful, The Bagh at Bharatpur is a birds sanctuary in itself. Peacocks are your host in here. The rooms are large, with big bathrooms and are well lit. The guest amenties in the room are generous, good sized bottles of body wash, shampoo etc, unlike the small travel sized bottles hotels provide elsewhere. A fruit basket was in our room, with compliments.

Food is good, very home-made like and the staff friendly. Most of the ingredients are grown inhouse so that adds to the taste.

Do take the walk with their naturalist and enjoy bird watching at the resort itself. There also have bird hides which are free of cost to residents.

All in all, a good experience for our family of 4 with two young children. Kudos! 😊

A perfect getaway from the bustle of the city. Old-school charm with modern and clean amenities. The staff is wonderful and the food was on point. A perfect gateway to the Keoladeo Ghana national park. Sadly could stay here for only one night on our way back to Delhi from Agra. Will be back for an extended stay.

Well a sprawling resort...huge and green. Large rooms, staff is courteous. Food is average with limited variety. Maintainance is a issue. Bathrooms while clean have water spots over everything giving out a very shabby look. VERY EXPENSIVE that is overpriced. At these prices you would expect something to the standard of Taj Dumduma but it's upkeep is nowhere near that. But still a very peaceful and serene property.

Food can be improved, wifi facility wasn't there, location on Google has to be more travel friendly. Garden and birds need more beautification .I mean water ponds, fishes, fruit trees, flowers 💐 etc

Visited the bagh in dec 2022, and though the property itself is quite big, it lacks maintenance. A little more details and fine tuning could do wonders.
Rooms are quite spacious in general but the details are not correctly mentioned on their website/aggregators.. for example something as basic as a tv was not present in the room, something that I had checked with the staff whole making the booking, and the reason that we were given was "foreigners usually don't prefer tv in room". They also were not coherent in terms of what features are available in the same room type.. some of the staff members gave their honest thoughts about the allocation of rooms and told that it's upto managers/reception as they do have rooms. Secondly we also got to know that these room types are scattered across the property and some are strictly kept unavailable for foreigners which sounds totally absurd.
Next cones the food which was actually good, it tasted good but lacked variety especially the breakfast buffet is very limited compared to some of the similarly ranged hotels/resorts. When a resort this big has such less breakfast options it automatically loses a few points on the go.
Food was not warmed up properly and some of the food items like parathas, poori etc were being served cold. It looked like the restaurant staff were agitated if we had made any sort of request like getting a warm roti, or heating up dal. While they were pandering to the demands being made by bigger groups. So it looked like subconsciously, they were not interested in solo / couple guests. The restaurant staff especially the manager was regularly overlooking our requests and had to be requested 2-3 times for getting anything done.
The reception manager as well didn't score a lot in the courteous front. We had booked a few days of stay with the hotel, and had informed the hotel that we may be running a little late and would greatly appreciate if they could just pack some food for us (a few roti or rice with dal).. just to give a background..we had the all meal unlimited plan booked for us, and we had requested the manager to get a few things packed since we could reach around 2:30pm. However he denied our request straightaway saying that the timings are from 12:30-2:30 and of you don't reach on time we won't get anything packed. We also tried to understand why that's such an impossible task to do as most of the hotels get it done, and we had requested only dal with either rice or chapati to be packed so it wasn't the entire buffet of options that we had bought that we wanted to get packed. We also offered to pay the amount incase that could get the job done. To be honest it looked very lame to get this sort of adamant negative reply back. When we finally reached after having lunch outside we got to know that the timings itself were not informed to use correctly for lunch else we would have easily made it to the hotel. To add insult to the injury, while checking out the lunch was being packed for a group of international guests as well as for a big family.. good job at selling Double standards.
At checkin as well... Timings of breakfast, tea, activities were incorrectly informed to us.
The housekeeping staff is actually nice though and would like to convey my regards.
But the antics of the manager and the restaurant staff pit us off for the Holiday and it is for the same reason I wouldn't recommend the place.

I have been to quite a few heritage properties but this was the best experience ever. With an unassuming entrance, I assure that anyone who enters this property will immediately fall in love with this resort. Beautiful rooms, amazingly beautiful natural surroundings. Mr Bhupendra was so courteous. The staff is the best you an get. Food was out of the world...hats off to chief chef. Mr Vinod gave us a round of the property and he explained everything so patiently. Helped us start a private Bon fire. Mr Guddu is a naturalist who gave us a tour explaining about each bird in the property using a bino.Anyonewho hasn't been here has missed out one of the best experiences. Must visit for all.
