Nice and comfortable stay, weather was amazing, nice property. We enjoyed our stay with family, however it would more enjoyable if few things could have managed in a better way. For example, no doorbell at the rooms, food buffet service was not appropriately managed as per the crowd, food was average in taste, commutation is a problem if you are not going by your own vehicle. Too much wait time for Ala-carte food items, quantity and taste was not upto the mark. Folk music programme and Rain dance was the best part.

The Palace was built in 1970’s designed under the personal supervision of Thakur Umaid Singh Rathore of Peelwa belonging to the legendary clan of Champawat Rajputs overlooking the lake at village Kalakho, Dausa. This was once the favorite hunting retreat of the Peelwa family and their friends, offers a peek into their legacy.

Popular for duck shoots & fishing during the yester years, the retreat boosts of its own organic farm, dairy, poultry & an in-house Krishna temple where guests are invited by the residing family every morning or evening to join the prayers.

Private & family run, a stay at Umaid Palace is personally supervised by the owners who look into every detail including their fabulous service and superb cuisine. And might easily become one of your preferred destinations as well.

The royal hunting lodge of the bygone era has been converted into a resort in keeping with the changing times. One can sit back and enjoy the vista from the sit out terrace which come included with most rooms, and without stepping out can enjoy nature unfurl in front of your eyes - away from the chaotic life of the city. After a day of trekking/rural sightseeing, sit back with a drink and watch the unmatched sunset behind the Aravali’s.

Umaid Palace prides itself on providing an authentic home away from home experience in Rajasthan. Life is unhurried here. The days filled with sunshine, conversation and picnics, Camel Safari’s and Jeep Safari’s with lazy sundowners to trap the blazing sunset. Spontaneous excursions trace the history of the region through neighboring forts and legends, rambles transform into safaris in the flash of a beckoning wing -the surrounding wetlands are a birdwatcher's paradise, tempting even to the uninitiated.

Umaid Palace is recommended as a standalone getaway retreat or an ideal base to explore neighboring forts and attractions namely the 1000-year-old Abhaneri Stepwell (Chand Baori), The haunted ruins of Bhangarh and natural sanctuaries of Sariska, Bharatpur and Ranthambore.

Umaid Palace is one of the predominant resort hotels of Rajasthan, a place where you can rest, refresh, and revive yourself.
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and head to Umaid Palace – An Organic Retreat, a charming resort set in the alluring countryside of Rajasthan. Overlooking tranquil Kalakho Lake and garlanded by a Mughal-style garden, this palatial 20-acre resort was once a royal hunting lodge.

A regal sanctuary perfect for a weekend escape, Umaid Palace – An Organic Retreat is a family-run resort that promises heartwarming hospitality and personalized service.

All food served at the resort is grown and sourced locally, with an emphasis on fresh, healthy and organic cuisine.

The dishes are flavored with herbs and spices from the onsite garden, adding a wholesome, authentic Rajasthani touch. Spend time at the Umaid farm and dairy and learn about everyday life on the land, maybe even trying your hand at harvesting and cooking crops.

Booked for special bday
Initially felt services are slow and not up to the mark but candle light dinner was awesome,Food was absolutely fresh and good . Polite butler. Breakfast was also fresh and tasty . Huge, neat and clean property. For a couple it's a good to have a peaceful relax time but child might get bored.

Having stayed here 3 nights, would like to describe our experience as hospitality at its best! It's one thing having a beautiful property but a whole different ball game maintaining it royally. Mr. Abhijay (the proprietor) and his entire team (Mr. Yogesh, Mr. Laado Singh, the entire restaurant staff, bell boys and a special mention to the horticultural team!) made the stay a luxurious one. This is definitely the organic escape you need with your family/friends/loved ones. The whole experience was amazing. Kudos to the entire team. Their food is so good, you'd want to have more than 3 meals a day ! The rooms are super spacious and we'll maintained. The rest of the property is a work of art in itself. There is so much on every floor to admire. The gardens take you back in time. Kudos to everyone at Umaid Palace. All the best.

The location is picturesque but they are taking advantage of their secluded location as the food items are extremely and illlogically expensive. They are charging 100 rs for a cup of tea and 500 rs for egg curry of just 2 eggs excluding taxes. They are charging 1200-1500 rupees for arranging a bonfire for their customers, this is an extremely disappointing and unfair approach towards customers. Won't recommend this place due to unfair prices of items.
