The River Front Resort- Best Hotel/Best Resort in Janki Kund Chitrakoot

Location is perfect. All tourist places are very near by and the hotel is well connected with the city. Food quality is also good though the service is a bit slow. The Wifi is available but gets disconnected frequently. Rooms are clean, one of the rooms had some leakage and AC problem but they changed it in no time on request. Had a good stay overall. Recommended for families.

Do not get confused with names. there is no river front available to guest. river flows around 300 mtrs away. To go there you have to come out of property and then go by side lane. Reception staff attitude is a bit unprofessional. The owners must look into it. We wanted 2 more rooms and were ready to pay price shown. But they were not ready to reduce the price by a single rupee. We took those 2 rooms in another hotel. The property lost 8 dinners, 8 breakfast and 8 lunches which we would have taken if stayed.

Ambience of the hotel would attract you inside. But conditions are pathetic inside. There are unpaid guests already present in your room like cockroaches in the bathroom and mice even in the Suite. They would roam on your bed. Your room would include complementary breakfast but you would have to stand and eat like beggars in the restaurant. Everything served would be cold. Staff is most discourteous. Rooms would never be cleaned even after your request. Supervisory staff would ignore you if you complain. We have never had such horrifying experience in our life. We contacted the owner also and informed him about our experience but there was no response till our checking out. The whole property.

This is totally scam
1 name scam - there is no river front or even in back only they named it so outsider can come
2 resort scam - this hotel is not even 3 star hotel they have small room balcony no use because of no view… rooms too bad and smelly… property is very poor
3 room service scam - they don’t have enough staff to serve as they run there restaurants so when waiter are free than they will serve you only.
4 over price scam - all item price is very high according to area… your hard earn money will be vanish… example we order many thing in one is dal makahni which was not good staff also accept but they don’t even replace it…. Very much over priced.. after having a group of 15 we feel its over prices and taste was very bad
5 poor management - no one was there to take responsibility no management nothing all saying not in our hand… main staff was very rude
6 rooms - no hot kettle available nothing facility
7 price - over priced 2500 per room i can get a 3 course meal in Barbeque

The property is pretty alright. Guess it's the town that is not much developed even though it's a sort of pilgrimage centre. It shows up in these hotels as well with the quality of service provided.
The room was very compact with a tinch of stink through the stay. The towels were not clean and had to ask for a change.
The restaurant in the hotel is completely hopeless to manage the full bookings. The service was at snail pace. Desserts come first then the mains as though the staff is clueless on what they are doing.
Their service need to be reviewed and improved.

Good location and rooms. But it's not riverside or riverfront as suggested by name. But the worst part is limited choice of breakfast. Also repeated calls by reception/ restaurant to come to breakfast at 8.30 am itself though closing time is 10 am, and saying that breakfast will be unavailable after 9.15 am.

The hotel is good. The staff at the restaurant is very rude. The cook was also very rude to us. We ordered idli sambhar for breakfast, the sambhar was fridge cold and when we enquired about the sambhar, he said it was 6 days old. The service is very delayed. If not necessary, dont eat here.

Overall nice experience staying in. Location is on road.

Rooms are clean comfortable with good clean washrooms.

Resturant is also good but orders given were often delayed and billings price were changed.
