Baripada Railway Station

Baripada is Up coming railway station which is moving in to a developing stage. It's a single platform station where passengers have the connectivity to various destination in odisha. There are many trains which run from here to connect to major railway station in odisha. Basic amenities are not available to passengers and may be expected in the future. Reservation counter is available and tatkal tickets can be booked here.

The railway was built by the erstwhile ruler of Mayurbhanj State, Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanj Deo. The first section of 52 km from Rupsa to Baripada was opened for traffic on 20 January 1905. Rupsa was the junction with Bengal Nagpur Railway's 1,676 mm (5 ft 6 in) broad gaugeline. An agreement was signed on 2 December 1918, for extending the line to Talband, 61.5 km away. This section was opened on 15 July 1920. The line was managed through managing agents, Hoare Miller & Co. of Calcutta and was operated by the BNR.

Located conveniently on main road side, easily accessible. Lot more development yet to be done. Basic railway station facilities available.

Very Nice..but more and more update required

Its a small railway station with a couple of platforms. Very less trains pass throughout the day. Much of modern amenities are not found here.

But if you want to book a tatkal ticket from station you can't bcz there are lot of broker station master ND police also know but they do nothing @baripada_police action should be taken
