The library is being renovated. Things are somewhat disarrayed. Has got some rare collections.

It has a varied collection of books and not just Bengali language books but also English and Hindi too. A very spacious and peaceful reading room too.

One of most historical library in West Bengal. The library has a huge collection of rare books including foreign books brought by the King of Coochbehar, that are preserved safely. The library staff are well behaved and very helpful. Currently all types of books related to competitive examination available including coaching. New tiles and colour gives it whole new look. But by the I visited the library the toilet was too bad smelling and dirty.

Like every other library it has enormous amount of book collection. Specially some brief history and knowledge about the time of kingship in Coochebhar. You will surely love to explore it.
Some times district Library arranges philately / numismatic show.
Recently officials have managed to start a free coaching class for various competitive exams specialty WBCS, with the help of other of some wbcs officials.

I just went there today it was looking good and fine with many books collection but the main problem is the pass is limited for which we can't sit and read, only book borrowing facility is there. The informations which were given by the staff members are also not accurate.

A two storied library. Assorted collection of books. A big collection of old books and manuscript. Unbelievable collection of arts of 1800 AD. AC reading room. A large conference cum study room. Special emphasis on competitive exams preparation. Very good infrastructure.. Anyone becomes member and study.
