North 24 Parganas Govt. District Library

I have been here when I started my college. Though I can't find useful books but you can get them promptly by just telling them what books you want and they will provide the library with books you want. They are library stuffs. Helpful enough they are. You can read books here if are not a member, only members can get books here to carry them home. Two membership prices , 250/- and 500/- . Former will give you books under 250rs and latter 500/-. If you want more information or help, ask them here, I'll be granted to answer. Thank you!!

It is Govt library with lots of books. It has a special section for students, job seeking persons.

I became a member of this library of my town when I was in HS. The library contains sufficient quantity of books of various field of interests. Ample space for someone to read write and discussion but you have to maintain silence here. The officials and staffs are strict as well as friendly in nature. The total campus is safe for anyone as it is in complete CCTV surveillance. One can cherish one's childhood books here, persue graduation preparation, and also govt jobs preparation. A lots of current magazine and newspapers are available here everyday. The process of being a member of this institution is also very easy.
Time- 11:30AM - 6:45PM (Everyday except Sundays and Second and forth Saturdays)

It is one of the best place in Barasat where you can read peacefully. One can get a rich variety of books here. Starting from academic books to story books, one can get everything here. The atmosphere is also study conducive. Feel free to hop in here if you are a student and wish to study.

Its is a government library, opens around 12:30 hours, books are available to anybody who visits the library, but you can not carry them home. Members can get books to home, membership charges are 250 and 500 INR.
Availability of books are pretty great.
