This is public library so this is open for all. There is very beautiful garden as well in the same premises which is good to walk of you are getting bored after reading.

Allahabad Public Library also known as Thornhill Mayne Memorial is a public library situated at Alfred Park  in Prayagraj.Established in 1864, it is the biggest library in the state of Uttar Pradesh.The building was designed by Richard Roskell Bayne and is considered a remarkable example of Scottish Baronial Revival architecture. The monument has served as the house of legislative assembly in British era when Allahabad was the capital of United Provinces. In 1879, the Public library was shifted to the present premises at Alfred Park.

It is a place at which u can study silent.
There is a small amount which is paid by everyone 50rs /year.
At here there are thousand of books from ancient India to modern from different writter in different field .
U can become a member and enjoy the books.

The library has an approximate collection of 125,000 books, 40 types of magazines and 28 different newspapers in Hindi, English, Urdu and Bangla and contains 21 Arabic manuscripts.[1] It also has a collection of old government publications, parliamentary papers, and blue books of the 19th century, old manuscripts and journals.[5]

The building known as Thornhill Mayne Memorial is situated at Alfred Park[5] and was designed by Richard Roskell Bayne in Scottish Baronial architecture with sharp pillars and turrets of granite and sandstone. It represents structural polychromy with lofty towers and arcaded cloisters.[4][6][7] When completed in 1870, the building cost approx. INR 94,222.[8] It was funded by Commissioner of Allahabad, Mr. Mayne and was opened as a memorial to Cuthbert Bensley Thornhill.[9]

Its simple . It is not a Bollywood library .
A complete pin drop silence. There are not so much books. I think it is not efficient for those who have their room for study because there are not so much book

This place for students and others who want go near to green area in prayagraj. Very beautiful place.

It is also known as Company bagh library. Situated in the middle of Company garden now known as Chandrashekhar Ajad park. Most newspapers and periodicals are available here. Area is lush green and peaceful. This is built under the British rule. The architecture is also inspired by western design of buildings.

Very good college and special Dr. Dhirendra kumar sir is very good history teacher. His teaching method is very perfect. He has a lot of knowledge in History subject.
