It has facilities to study from there, almost all malayalam magazines plus major national magazines and newspapers are available. And it's a good library

A well maintained library with a large collection of books in Kerala. Seperate Children's book section and reference section is arranged.Online searching of books, reserving and renewal of books is possible.You can even post your book reviews there. Has the potential to become one of the best libraries in India. The staffs are polite and professional. Plastic library card with barcode makes the transactions smooth.Newly arrived books are displayed near the book counter for easy access to library members.

There is a reading room in adjacent area, where you can freely read most of the magazines published in Malayalam and English. Employment Newspapers in both these languages are accessible here.

There is ample space in the entrance area with many tables and chairs. This is the area where daily newspapers are read. Many a times you can see, people eagerly awaiting their turn to read newspapers in Malayalam and English. This is a blessing for people who can't afford purchasing of newspapers.

This Library is situated at the heart of calicut.
Lot of books are available for reference.

Strange rules. Only reference books can be read from this library's reading room. Other books you have to issue and read from home. Even if you finished a book, you cannot return it on the same day of issue. You are supposed go on next day.
Library is a grave yard of good books and librarian is the selfish giant saving it from readers. I got scoldings from him for reading a book from reading room. If books cannot be read from there what else should we do from there. whimsy rule. Somebody should change those rules or change that librarian from there.
