Uttarpara Main Post Office

A decent post office building, with multiple well-lit counters and sit for waiting. Computerised too. Had a decent experience with sending a speedpost from there.

Good post office with helpful staff. But sometimes the lines are too long and it takes around an hour to reach the counters

Good post office with helpful staff. However the roads in front of it are not maintained and there is filth all around it. 😞

It is situated near ballykhal,uttarpara Hooghly district enteranse gate.

Location of post office is very convenient, However the staffs are non co operative . They feel self content when a customer is either denied a service or has to kept detained.

Tha staff is very uncooperative and do not want to do their basic duties.

They talk a lot which is unnecessary and always have an argument for not doing their work or finding petty mistakes of customers rather than trying to help get the job done.
Such a sad state of affairs.
I went to do a parcel which was big in size in the afternoon. The first comment from one of the staff was "such a big parcel at this hour!!!"

Nice and good place. Government place hence process are slow. Aadhar card also gets updated here. Just make sure to write your name at 10am when it opens. Top 40 people only able to update in a single working day.
