Barrackpore Head Post Office

Beside main road, merely 2 minutes walk from barrackpore court which is its nearest landmark. Green surroundings. 'Passport Seva Kendra' is within its apertinance. Functional from march 2018.
Passport Service is very poor, staff is irregular, reach office after 10 while appointment holders who are scheduled at 9:00 hours waits till staff's arrival. No value of your time. Please opt for any other PSK if you value your time.

Barrackpore head post office is a good position in Barrackpore . Dear straps are very helpful. But I hope current covid-19 affects their staff are not available properly .
So there working speed is very slow . This is a great building and helpful this time . So I will give him at 10 out of 10 in this post office .
I hope this post offices the area head office . so any other post office will not work the speed post & registered post , but this post office will speed post and registered the work is properly .
So I always prefer now this Barrackpore head post office .

It's like any other govt office with long queues. But the service at its end is good, not appreciated but it's helpful. The post master is very cooperative and friendly. You may approach him without much difficulty. But beware of the machine failures. Here machine won't work for atleast 7 months in a year. If you got your work in a visit, please make yourself proud, because it's very rare in this post office.

Worthless service! A parcel named after me was despatched from GPO to Barrackpore HO on 26th May 2020 and I received a confirmation message on my mobile from India Post after Barrackpore HO received the parcel on the same day. After that I didn't get any further message on their end for about 2 months and then finally on 29th July 2020 I received a message stated that my item was bagged and out for delivery. I was very hopeful this time that I would get my item after so long but unfortunately on the very same day at around 1 pm I received another message where it was stated that my item could not be despatched due to insufficient address which is completely unbelievable. I think the delivery man didn't even go out for delivering my parcel; The Barrackpore HO cheated on me by sending me several fake messages from the time they had received my item. This is too much. How can they show so much irresponsibility and dishonesty in their service? I wonder! I can't believe in them anymore. Proper legal disciplinary action should be taken against those miscreants around such objectionable offence so that they can't deal with customers with inappropiate manner in future and in order to improve the sevice as a whole.

Barrackpore Head Post Office is located at Riverside Road. Transportation to reach here is excellent. Spacious and good atmosphere. Apart from usual postal work passport seva kendra is also available here and for which large number of peoples are being benefitted. Staff cooperation is appreciable.Postal ATM centre is also available here.

Staffs are very rude and charging a high price. My parcel weighed 1.5kg and they wrote down 3.5kg and charged me an extra 1000/- I don't recommend this post office. Those staffs should be fired from their jobs.

Yesterday i track my parcel but i did not recive also no one call me but when i cheak again its shows , not deliverd location not found , my addresh is proper with pin code or land mark . When i call there help line no in working hours no one answer . Very disapoint from there service .poor service upset to see there system and support for customer .
