Very good and nice place to visit for your postal and courier needs. You can also get your items packed and make them ready for post/ cargo. Very friendly and they also charge reasonably. I hope, they will continue to do it in future! All other post office should also learn to do this.

passport seva office service is so good

I have been sending parcel to Malaysia through India post regularly at Chennai. I send through normal post but in Karaikal they're saying only speed post available that too 1687 per kg. Usually I pay 250 per kg in normal post. The packing lady in the office is charging a commission of Rs.100 which is not included in the receipt. In chennai they have never charged for packing. Staff misusing people's innocence in Karaikal branch. Very disappointed.

Worst experience yesterday. The parcel cost is Rs.132 for chennai but packing they charged 100. I took a box along with me and tape. The lady in the packing counter said they won't accept this box and charged me. The charges was not included in receipt. It was charged seperately in person. Also it took more than two hours just to send that one parcel. The staff at the post counter doesn't know Tamil which made things even worse for all the people. Very slow in service.

Just in case people who don’t know this building is shared by Passport Seva Kendra - Karaikal as well. Appointment is meaningless in PSK as they are very slow in processing each application and afternoon 2:15 appointment was attended at evening 4:00 PM evening after reporting well before reporting time 2 PM. There is no ethics for the employees to say sorry for the delay when questioned by customer and they instead shouting at customers stating “we are doing the process for customers come in the morning, what is your problem..” Such pathetic slow employees should be replaced and ask who ever comes with less documents should be asked to reschedule the appointment instead of wasting time…
