Shillong General Post Office

To be honest if there was a choice to give minus stars I would give this post office minus 5 stars, as it is the slowest post office I’ve ever seen, they take around 20-25 minutes for one customer with just one parcel to finish. I would recommend people to try for the Laitumkhrah post office or dtdc or other courier services. Seems like the workers are under qualified. What a shame.

Worst service ever...a typical government office...after standing in the line for an hour and a half and when we were almost near the counter for speedpost the counter shuts for lunch for 30 minutes.
KEEP IT UP ! MOTTO is public harassment !!!
If it were a pvt office then more counters would be functional for the business and replacements for lunch times would be provided!!

Postman named T Lalbiakngu is very disrespectful, full of attitude . Plus he cannot converse in English nor Hindi . Please do something about this guy. He needs to learn how to work as a postman. !!!!!

I went here to send some letter to my sister in Chennai but it was returned after a few days sayin "NO SUCH PERSON"

Number provided doesn't work. I am in Delhi and my parcel for some reasons have not been delivered yet. It reached Shillong last week. I called customer care service they provided me with a number, called that number.. No one picks up the call. lazy pathetic people are working there. GPO if you are too lazy to deliver my parcel at least call and inform me. Why are you taking salary if you don't know how to do your own work. All I see is negative comments here for u guys. Shame on your team.

The worst post office with no professionalism. Staff are not friendly at all and they don't even know how to work efficiently. Oh, and the line does not even move. This has got to be the slowest post office.

Slowest post office ever seen. Here employees come after 10 and provide service after 10.30. The lady at counter 10 came at 10.45. Poor explanation skills and doesn't encourage the people. Horrible experience from employees. No wonder people opt for private services. This lady in the picture is standing for the past 45 min. .

I suggest don't come to this post office choose Laimukrah.

They are worst public sector servant.... They deserve privatisation
