Indraprastha Head Post Office

It is the post head office in Delhi, huge premises with at least twenty help desks. They offer all kinds of post services and have some options for savings accounts also. It is a government office, people are helpful but not proactive. One can visit for understanding all about how post works in India.
There is a public washroom too. It was clean but it is inside the office, so the guard might ask where you are headed.

Very Very bad experience at the IPHO. Today it took more than 2hr 30 min to get my NSC redeemed. My money and great pain. Not even the seniors officers are looking into the matter. Many staff are absent. The staff which is present is working for agents. As a general public you are treated as if you had done big mistake by choosing government departments services.
PLI cannot be deposited as per the staff systems are not working. You need to come some other day.
Alarm to P,&T dept. this is how your staff works.
Great news - My cheque had gone for signature, but last 30 minutes no one there to sign. Staff is very very busy in what work we do not know.
Here the MOTTO is CUSTOMER is USELESS and WHY to serve?

Yesterday i went to deposting the my NSC bond and collecting the maturity amount from 12 pm till 5.30 p.m. i had to wait for the cheque. After many request. I contacted the a lady in postmaster's, office she was also giving lame excuses. I was made to spend 5.30 hrs without any clear direction. At last I got my cheque and today again they contacted me that the cheque made with wrong amount. Kindly return the cheque and collect the cheque hand to hand. My husband went to return the cheque, but we have not received the cheque. They confirm by end of the day, they will confirm. Very slow working staff and harassing the customer is more important.

It is one of the oldest post offices in central Delhi. Big and sprawling. Good staff. Only problem is like other post offices in the city it also works in traditional ways. It is not computerised and you have to queue up for services. India Post should modernise itself and make every service computerised and digitised.

Very bad service. It has been over a week my speed post has been received by the post office and they still haven't delivered it.

Only provide one ⭐ because they are provided very Poor Services,staff Was not Coperative.Working staff of Counters was always saying plz give a change.

Good experience...all the staff are very helpful....yes there may be server problem sometimes but this is backend issue and the staff also can't do anything about this...

My speed post parcel reached 5 days before..but it was not dispatched.. Even it was not updated in the tracking system.only after complaining, I came to know that it reached 4 days before..still am waiting for my parcel.. For this kind of poor service, why are you asking more money for speed post?
