This photograph isn't Digha Post Office, but Dighwara Post Office, which is about 200 meters west-south from my house.

They dont bother how much time you have waited and do the work very very slowly.
It takes almost 10 minutes for to register one speed post or a registered post

It is a sub post office offering only fewer services. You can post a letter or a parcel via speed post but it doesn't has letter distribution facility. You can also open Savings, RD, and FD accounts under different schemes. I visited to enquire something, i found behavior of a staff helpful. They are upgrading old methods into modern. Now you can withdraw money from any non-home branch (under imposition of certain cap).

Courier recived in morning 7am ,they won't do delivery same day even thier office hours start now ! This is speed post but they won't care about ,why ppl do speed post and a day more delay in delivery can impact how much!
