Baranagar Police Station

A busy and important police station of the area with large population. Officers and staffs are humble and cooperative.

Baranagar PS is good. But alambazar police fari at night doing public harassment.... They are missbehab with public with slang language. Its not good. Alambazar police fari under taking Baranagar PS. When police say that they are public friend. So what is this..
I protest that...

They claimed Rs. 500/- from each candidate for police verification of passport. They will call you and after verifying all your document they directly forced to give Rs. 500.

Location of the P.S is very fine. One of the old police station of Kolkata area.

It was a very bad experience. I was in jail for 7 days. They didn't clean the room. All the rooms were dirty and spider web on walls. Even though their food quality was not good, rotis was not properly cooked, even though their main course was not up to mark overall a very bad experience. I strongly advise not to go to this police station.

Overall they're helpful but it comes with a charge...they charge 1000-1500 for passport verification.. without that they will not verify you clean...so as usual corruption but they will help you.. i have to pqy total of 4500 for 3 family members.. but no place for complaints.. so.. we have to bear it..

They are highly cooperative and extremely cautious and sincere. They really helped me solve my problem in a better and more efficient way. Thank you and salute to them !!

Mr Tarak Mondal (passport verification dept) is a big corrupted person, he charged me 3700 inr for verification of documents. He will say bla bla stories, to take bribe for verification.
This person should be jailed for encouraging corruption. You can ask any prev random person for passport verification that how much bribe he took.

Most probably he will say that he have to make affidavit in holder's name for verification and he will not give any proof what he did. In this way there is no option left for us to say rather than giving them bribe.
