It is under Sadar Sub-Division and bordering with Hura P.S of Purulia District in one side and in other side Bankura, Indpur and Taldangra PS’s.. Chhatna is the main town of this area and Chinabari, Dhaban, Ghosegram, Jamtora, Jhunka, Jirrah, Metyala, Saldiha, Susunia and Teghari are the semi towns.
