Yeah 2022 book fair.. Must try ... When you are from Nandhanam Metro station .. walk towards saidapet road . EV periyar building is on right side.. opposite to humma hospital YMCA ground is present.. Went for a book fair that was organised at this place. It was fantastic! These kind of book fairs are mostly organised once a year and it’s something that can’t be missed. There’s ample parking inside the campus and multiple security guards who guide you to park your vehicle. There are police camped here to help the people, there was also an ambulance parked in case someone was injured or fell severely sick. The entrance ticket cost 10 Rupees in cash but wish they had mobile payment platforms like Phonepe, UPI etc... There are countless publishers selling various books from Classic, spiritual, fiction, non-fiction, auto-biographies, academic, management, magazines, comics etc... with many awesome offers. One day is definitely not enough to take a look at all the book stalls. There were multiple electric fans to beat the beat but one would still feel tired and sweaty anyway inside because of the crowd and the whether. But small vendors who sold water bottles, tea and coffee are life savers and enable us to keep exploring more stalls. There was also a mobile museum situated outside. Washroom facilities were available.

Went to the chennai book fair.. Didn't know ymca ground was this large and spacious.. Not only book fair.. Many kinds of fairs can done ther.. Hope TN govt does many more like this 👍👍

Can bring more outlets for quick snacks, atleast to get water bottles

More ventilation would be nice

Great place and well located in middle of the city. It has huge playgrounds for various sports activities

Grounds are broad and big arena where you have food catering stalls, popcorn, coffee station and stage ceremony conducted by poet speech. Lunch and Tiffen items were provided near to the exhibition hall and the prices were slightly higher and quantity is less. Bondas, Bajjis, poori's, dosa's sweets and other chat items kept at this shop during lunch time. Plenty of book stalls all you can get reasonable price during the book exhibition. Cons is there were no or limited number of chairs to sit and study on what book to buy. Lots of fun for kids while going around the stalls and at tyre ground. For senior citizens, you would need to take extra caution. Take some time of rest, relax yourselves consistently at this place. 10% discount in each shop of your purchased bill. Rest rooms were at the back side of book stall and kept near to last entry gate of book stall. Good to go along with your friends and family.

Only once in a year I'll go there for Chennai book fair.. same as this year.. but this year when I go there they are conducting some programs for Pongal celebration.. me and my friends enjoyed a lot..
