THIS BRANCH OF RAMAKRISHNA MATH AND MISSION IS ONE OF THE OLDEST AMONG THE BRANCHES OF RAMAKRISHNA MATH. THE ASHRAMA WAS ESTABLISHED BY SWAMI KALYANANANDA IN THE YEAR 1901.THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF THE RAMAKRISHNA ORDER SWAMI BRAHMANANDA ARRANGED MONEY TO BUY LAND AND TO ESTABLISH ASHRAMA HERE.

This Ramakrishna Math was established by the direct disciple of Swami Vivekananda, Rev. Swami Kalyananadaji Maharaj to serve the poor and distressed SADHUS, and also the local people to served as GOD in MAN theory as described by the Lord Sri Ramakrishna Paramahangsho and made it in practical by his great son, Swami Vivekananda. There is a big Hospital started from the very beginning to serve the man as GOD.
