The place is so scenic and sacred. This is the highest Shiva temple from sea level in the world. The trek is not so easy but it's fulfilling and gives you sense of accomplishment and devotion when you complete it. Chandrashila is one kilometre ahead of it.

Highest Shiv Temple In The World 🤩🙏 13000+ ft. above from mean sea level Oxygen is little less Little difficult for old aged people to breathe Better to have camphor for precaution Beautiful place and view form the temple 4-5 km trek from the entrance gate but it is written 3 km on sign board which is false

The journey itself is a magical experience. Step by step the lush green forest will open up. You will get to see a tree just as similar to the face of our beloved lord Ganesha. From the tungnath temple you will see the snow peaked mountains, which is breath taking. Apart from all don't forget to visit the chandrashila peak. You will get to see something which in words can't be explained.

One of the spiritual and holy place of Uttarakhand. I trek here in all season. Every season gives different sceneric view but the same vibe. But little bit disappointed as for some people this holy place is turning into picnic spot.

Tungnath is one of the highest shiva temples in the world. This temple vibes make you so calm. Trek is really fascinating and thrilling due to weather and snow if you are planning to go there in between January to feb then it becomes more thrilling and beautiful because of high volume of snow fall but sometimes it will be more dangerous if your are not cautious enough on trek. So better start your trek in between 6-7am in the morning don't wait till sun comes reason i am telling this because as soon as sun arises ice starts melting and trek become too much slippery. But overall its really worth to visit.
