Suththa Sanmarkka Sathya Gnana Sabhai

In Tamil Nadu it's known and practiced by a small groups known as sanmargis and this spritual centre boast of serving food to poor and all visiting devotees on all 365 days through the years since 150 years. It's there days festival when I visited the spritual centre it was filled with lakhs of devotees to have jyothi darshan. This festival occurring once in a year on Thai Pusam in Tamil calendar. It's a unique festival and different from all other religious practices including all Hindu religion. The most heartening principle propogated by Ramalinga swamy fondly called as Vallalar is ahimsa jivakarunya vegetarianism and kindness to all living being and mainly offering food. No need to offer flowers fruits etc in temple no pujas like in other Hindu temple. The foremost aspect of this sect is that there is no discrimination based on caste and religion. All are welcome with simple principle.

A shrine that stands above all castes and religion, a movement started by Vallalar Ramalinga Swamigal where the divine flame “Arutperunjodhi” is worshipped as the almighty! Its a place of self-realisation through meditation.
Annadhanam (free-food) for everyone is provided five times a day. It is said that the food is cooked by the never-extinguishing fire lit by Vallalar himself years ago.
