I never knew that the name of this parking is 'Saraghari'. My in-laws are in Amritsar and I frequently visit Shiri durbar sahib and usually park my car in this parking area. There are many good and bad points to this building. The old Amritsar town is very congested. It is not build for cars and other automobiles. With time more and more people are having vehicles. When I was child very few people managed to go to Amritsar as very less connectivity was there. But now most of the middle class have personal vehicles and they can easily afford to go to Amritsar. Every Gursikh around the world has a wish to visit Shiri Harmandar Sahib at least once in his/her lifetime. I have seen a sudden increase in pilgrims in the recent past. The parking was build to provide enough space for car parking as otherwise it would have been so difficult for the management and for the pilgrims as well. The parking space was build to keep in mind the distance from Darbar sahib. One can easily go to durbar sahib on foot or can hire a battery operated auto rickshaw. However, the parking space is not clean. Urinals have been closed, which is a huge problem for ladies, children and elders. Lift is not working, which is again a huge problem for handicap people, elders and people caring new born babies. This was such a disappointment. Even the lighting is not proper. When One is visiting durbar sahib, at least they should be in a comfort to visit Harmandar Sahib peacefully but if they have to bear the pain to take care of dependent which is avoidable and unnecessary. I wish Amritsar Municipal corporation or Gurdwara Management Committee should work on this. The parking space is not free then at least they should provide service which they are supposed to provide. In festival times such a Diwali and The birth anniversary of Shiri Guru Ram Das ji, millions of devotee came for prayers. This parking space needed to expand or more floors needed to be added.

Very good multilevel parking place who want to visit Shri Harimander Sahib. It is the nearest parking place, which is open for every common person. But sometimes, it gets too crowded, mostly on holidays and Gurupurabs and on such days, you need to wait for quite long time to get parking place. But you usually find parking place easily on working days.

Too many cars allowed to enter the parking area despite the shortage of parking space. Cars keep on moving inside looking for space creating tons of pollution. It took more than 1 hour for me to find a place to park and outside on the flyover leading to the parking building also took more than 1 hour to make entry. Very frustrating and annoying after you reach so close to Sri Darbar Sahib. One should not enter this area, instead park car on the outer parts of Amritsar and take an auto or bus to reach Sri Darbar Sahib. Whole Amritsar city is in chaotic and unruly situation, presence of cops is very minimal to control traffic. Auto rickshaws are the biggest problem creators. Pathetic experience.

Golden temple and places around it used to be well kept and clean. Now it's turning into a typical tourist place, the whole parking lo l area smells of ammonia and urine and there's no visible signage to find a way out or in, and the beggars just try to catch you all along the way to the gurudwara.

I visited Golden Temple on car for the first time and get to know about it. It's a multilevel car parking very near to Golden Temple. It's has washrooms inside, elevators, stairs, parking receipt at entrance. The entrance from ground floor is very crowded so it's best to enter from flyover which is mostly empty. The parking is unorganised, you'll have to drive every floor the find a parking place for your car. There is no one to help and assist you to find empty parking. Cleanliness is average.
It's good that now we have a multilevel parking near to the Gurudwara Sahib. But something needs to be done to organise it better and cater the needs of people, it's very crowded on festivals.

Exit from this parking is horrible. It took my half hour, only for 150 meter distance. It shows poor management. No doubt parking facility is excellent but management played a major role to manage this parking so I request to management please take care it and improve it ASAP.
