Perur temple parking

Imagine visiting a 2000+ years old dated temple. Perur temple is serene, well maintained and definitely worth a visit. The architecture is wonderful and the atmosphere is peaceful. Must visit for all tourists to Coimbatore, kids and elders alike. The sculptures are of interest to students of archealogy and fine art.

The temple is one of the oldest temple in Tamil Nadu. It stands as a symbol of pride in Coimbatore for more than 50 years. The temple's main deity is Lord Shiva. There are magnificent paintings found inside the temple that represent a few of the many Hindu Gods in the best possible way. The history of the temple can be very fascinating. The architecture and ambiance is my favorite.

Almost safe place to park your vehicle when you want to visit the temple and the river bank which is a 5 minute walk from the temple. Lot of small juice shops which serves lemon soda for Rs.15 each.and you can find other petty shops and people selling tender coconut. The parking fee is Rs.5. you can park the vehicle from 7am to 7pm. After that it is not advisable as you might find scratches in your vehicle. Temple closes by 2pm and again opens by 4pm.

Parking is spacious. No external disturbance. Peaceful Darshan. Ancient temple looks great to visit.

Very congested as it is just opposite to the main te.ple tower thronged by other devotees and surrounded by vendors of Pooja items. You ve to pay parking charges in advance; so when you take the vehicle back, the contractor won't be there. ₹5 for two wheelers.

Must visit once if you are coming to Coimbatore. It is between the Isha foundation and Coimbatore.
