In January 1901, on the death of Queen Victoria, The 1st Baron Curzon of Kedleston (later created The 1st Marquess Curzon of Kedleston), the then Viceroy of India, suggested the creation of a fitting memorial. Lord Curzon proposed the construction of a grand building with a museum and gardens.

Victoria Park is a very beautiful park which is located in Kolkata, it has its museum and it is the historical park and museum of Kolkata, here tourists come to visit or park or messium ticket is also available.Victoria Park is a very famous park of Kolkata and it is very big in terms of area.i have been to victoria park a lot of times i like it very much can go to victoria park to hang out with family enjoy sitting in walking here quite nice places.
