Beautiful place to spend time with friends and relatives. Good ambience. Nice place at the center of the kozhikode city. The area is very clean. The spot is located at near SM Street.

Peaceful piece of land. Its refreshing to lie in the meadow. Children playing, couples wandering.

PLASTIC everywhere!!!!
Why don't you just ban the use of plastic inside the mananchira ground???
Recently visited this place and I find it is not maintained well! The lights are not working at the entrance!!
It was not so crowded but still I could find a ton of plastic which is not going to help us!!

Parking a big problem,was fully illuminated as a part of New year celebration, there is a basketball court where several tournaments are held, District sports council hall is also situated here, a good place to relax even though located in the heart of Kozhikode city, in the morning opened for morning Walker's and some excersing equipments are provided, the greenery and pond will certainly fill your heart.

The Zamorin Mana Vikrama, the feudal lord of Kozhikode, designed and built Mananchira as a pool sometime in the middle ages. When Tippu Sultan has been the ruler of Mysore, he created this as a source of drinking water as a present for Sayed Jifri.

Among the best gathering spots in Kozhikode here's the. At around four in the evening, the park opens. Several more people are visiting this location alone or with their loved ones. There are several trees that provide good shade. The spicy food sold by street vendors is good. There is also a lovely boardwalk that circles the entire square. The new stone sculpture enhance this park's beauty.

Water is pumped into the city from the mananchira pond, that is located in the centre of the town. Entrance costs free. The park is well-maintained. Please take care not to leave any trash behind. Moreover, there is an ideal location with a few items of equipment that officers control. There are some sleepers.
