Choottad Beach Park

Nice place shadowed by Pine trees. Owned and run by Kerala tourism dept. Have amble space for parking. Entrance fee of 25₹ for adults. Lot of food stalls are present. Prices seems to be a little high in the stores. Can enjoy peddle boat.

One of the most beautiful beaches in Kannur District. Situated in Puthiyangadi, Kannur District this beach attracts a lot of tourists, especially on sundays.. the best places to spend your time with your friends and family.

This beach is near payyanur and Kannur., Nice place shadowed by Pine trees. "Good Place to chill out with family."

Clean and calm beach to spend time with family and kids. Has good children play area. Has good parking and accessibility.

Not so clean beach.
Almost every day it will be crowded.
Reaching there, and going back from the beach is difficult unless you have your own vehicle.

Can't rely on autorickshaws because due to traffic, rush most of the time no option to return. Auto won't be there.

The best beach in Kannur district.The beach is located about 4 km from puthiyangadi town.
Parking fee is Rs.20.
Similarly, tickets are required to enter the beach. Tickets are for those above 5 years of age. Rs. 25 per person and Rs. 50 for cameras.
If you want to go through the pine trees through the side instead of the main entrance, you can enter without taking a ticket.
There is a park along with the beach here.
Dressing room and toilet facilities are available in the park.
All along the beach side are pine trees.
The walk through the pine trees is cool. The park has several places for children to play.
Then a swing is tied to a pine tree.
There are some shops in the park but I am told that nothing is being stolen from there. An ice cream with MRP 30 is said to be 40 rupees.
There are occasional plastic bins in the park that you can deposit in.
There is also seating in the park.
As soon as you go to the beach, you can see the mountain on the right side. The mountain standing next to the sea is beautiful to see.
There is a creek that joins the sea and has kayaking facilities.
There is no other such beautiful beach in Kannur district.
Festivals are held here.
Horse riding is available here.
This is a very crowded beach in the evenings.
You can see the sea full of boats if you stop here.
This beach is a perfect place for couple's to enjoy.

Nice place to visit at weekends. Neat beach and park. Lots of rides and activities for kids. Though the speed boating is little bit expensive for the amount and the time they allow in the speed boat. Try to get your own refreshments as the juice/drinks provided by the shops are local brands, look alike products. Other than that it's a great place to visit and enjoy the weekend

The place is super good for family. But i dont think the entry fees they charge is worthful for that, because you have to pay for every facility inside the park even after the entry ticket. The beach is good. We can enjoy sunset with family. Washrooms and changing facilities are not recommended.
But I really appreciate such an effort from the authorities to keep the beach like this.
