. Kuruva Island is one of the must-visit places for nature lovers. One of the must place to visit in wayanad.only 594tickets are available there. We will only get tickets if we get there early. Saturday and Sunday are pretty busy. There are many small hotels nearby. We will be taken to the island on a raft of 40 people. If you walk through the jungle for a long time, you can swim and bathe in the river. It is doubtful whether there is any other place in Kerala where plastic is so banned.

Serene , calm and peaceful environment. Very well maintained, good system of keeping money deposit for taking any plastics inside the forest. Also bamboo rafts used are completely pollution free, no diesel no burning, no motor. I loved this place

Kuruva Dweep or Kuruva Island is a protected river delta, comprising a cluster of islands over the middle of Kabini River in Wayanad.Great spot for birdwatching and wildlife spotting owing to its diverse range of fauna. The island is also a favorite of trekkers and hikers who prefer pristine natural surroundings.

As name says it's surrounded by the kabani river. The best place to gel with the nature and stay peacefully. Also you can have a refreshing bath from the kabani river with proper precautions. You can only reach there by government boats (ചെങ്ങാടം) through the 2 entrances of the island. Only 575 people are permitted through the each entrance and total of 1150 people can reach the island per day. So it's difficult to get the tickets during weekends and holidays. So plan to reach here as earlier in the morning

Limited tickets provided per day. Currently 400 tickets per side. There's another entrance on other side of island. If tickets are closed, you can try 15mins bamboo rafting, which is good, the staff are really friendly and helpful in sharing info about the region.

Kuruvadweep is so calm and beautiful.. densely wooded. One could easily spot birds and squirrels. The island is surrounded by Kabini river... We can board a raft to reach the island after getting tickets from the counter. After the walk through the uninhabited island 🏝️ one can take a dip at the stream of the river which is a bit slippery.

It's a forest protected river delta in Wayanad and a major eco-tourism destination .. Bamboo Raft ride is one of the experience that you get to feel... There are 2 entrance to it... Only 500 tickets are issued from one point not more than 1000 people allowed in a day's visit...one entrance is been managed by tourism department and other by forest department...The entry fee for visiting Kuruvadweep Island is Rs 80 per person for Indian nationals and Rs 150 per head for foreign tourists by Kerala Forest department for which counter closes at 4:30 pm.Ideally an entire in the morning time to explore the Kuruva Island. After taking the ticket you will get to cross the river to the many tiny islands...Kuruva Island is to take a walk around the entire area... Do carry water to which you will have to take special tickets and return the plastic to avoid littering the place.

My experience through forest department road trip been the best experience than the tourism entry point... Kuruva Island is shut during the monsoons.
