Thattekkad Butterfly Garden

Awesome place to spend time , able to capture variety of butterfly.

Looks more like a jungle, may be due to the fact that they want to maintain the garden as natural as possible. The staff is good and friendly. Recommended for thise who have some idea about the butterflies, for others the place can be used as resting area. The park has two small lotus ponds insidd the compound.

Part of Thattekkad bird sanctuary. Medicinal plant garden, mini orchidarium, mini zoo & aquarium too are part of this butterfly garden. You may even find spotted dears, sambars, birds or other wild animals which come down for drinking water. Entry fee is Rs 40/-

A butterfly garden for name sake. We can see more butterflies in our backyard. They have planted some flower plants but failed to attract butterflies.

Thattukada butterfly park museum is very nice to watch as it provides information regarding tiny winged creatures. It is very unique if it's kind in kerala. Visitors across the globe visit this place and is well maintained.

It's nice to visit there. Lots and lots of butterflies. This is located inside the bird sanctuary. Also, they have mentioned each and every butterfly's detailed information. There is also a small room like a museum attached butterfly's details.
