Famous Maina Talab ( pond) is one of the Historical places in Rajmahal. It is famous because it is built at the time of Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great. The name Maina Talab was given by the care taker of the pond(Maina Bibi). There is a makbara(tomb) of Maina Bibi. Above the makbara(tomb) there is a complex historical inscription in Arabic. Some people said that whoever reads that inscription completely then a boat with lots of treasure will appear in the pond. Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) didn't recognise this historical place. In future I hope they will recognise.
