One of the best tourist attractions in Darbhanga, Chandradhari Museum was established on 7 December 1957 on the north bank of Mansarovar Lake. Later it was shifted in the present double-storey building in 1974. The museum got its name from the Late Chandradhari Singh who donated all the rare artifacts and other valuable objects for the formation of this museum.

It is divided into eleven galleries namely Glass Gallery, Textile Gallery, Miniature Painting Gallery, Modern Paintings, Stone Sculpture Gallery, Wood Gallery, Mother of Pearls Gallery, Natural History Gallery, Ivory Gallery, Brass Gallery and Special Gallery. Moreover, there is a Strong Roomwhich houses Gold coins, ring of precious stones, Panchajanya Shankh, Dakshinavarti Shankh, Shree chakra etc.

Before heading for an excursion to Chandradhari Museum, you should remember that:

it is open all days, except on Monday.

its entry is free

it is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m

it has its own small library which has different types of cultural & historical books.

Thematic Park is located inside the Chandradhari museum park and it is located inside the campus of museum. The one of the most famous museum park available in the Darbhanga city which have very big ground. It has many types of plants and statue. The children enjoyed here for playing and swing. The best place for holidays visit for students and children.
