Thank you very much for the excellent work for our apartment's exterior painting.. this is our second contract with Vannam team.
First time the team did interior painting for our house. That was an excellent work and I was stunned by their professional work. I could say it was a benchmark for the painting work.
And they went ahead the benchmark this time. Especially wanted to say about the painters in Vannam.. They were trained in a fantastic way.. they didn't disturb us during painting ... Completed their scheduled work on time, without supervision ... especially they didn't have habits like smoking, drinking, unwanted talking during the work.. and about Mr.Karthik, he explained the process of painting in detail. Before reaching Vannam, we enquired two other contractors, they couldn't give adequate information. But in Vannam, their way of taking measurements and quotations are transparent and easy to understand.

I recommended Vannam to few of my friends already and I would do in the future too.

Vannam !!! It was quite an accident that I came through Vannam, just through a google search. We took quotes from 4 companies. But from the time Vannam team members came to even take measurements, explain about the concepts / nuances and importantly their process of how they will do the work was highly impressive. The professionalism that the team displayed in terms of keeping the customer informed about the work done, to be done the next day, materials used, Site reviews on a periodic basis along with the project leads .... Hats off to Vannam and team. The final surprise is that when I spoke to some of the clients of Vannam, they just gave the same feedback what we have given as above. The energy level and sincerity displayed was exemplary .It was damn professional and needed least supervision. Whenever we made smaller inclusions it was accommodated without any hesitation.
Mr. Karthik went an extra mile to courteously explain the nuances in painting exterior walls ,the right quality to be used, details of specifications, surface durability and life cycle cost when we literally audited every spec of his quotation. That was totally impressive and we are sure none would do this.

I had used Vannam as the project contractors for painting and waterproofing my house. To provide a brief background, my house is almost 70 years old, and had not been painted for almost 10 years. Further, there were lots of water seepage issues mainly because of the intense rain spells in chennai over the last 4-5 years. This had caused considerable damage to the building.
I had used Vannam to basically do the entire waterproofing, painting and key repairs for the old house.
The experience was the best one that i ever had, and the same can be divided into the following stages:
1) Quote and Inspection stage;
2) Terrace waterproofing
3) Exterior
4) Interior
5) Post customer service

Quote and Inspection stage;
To begin with, they were absolute professionals in first studying the building, explaining the significance of material at every stage of work, and that too depending on our usage. So for eg. incase of terrace, they had suggested to go with a material at a specific density to eliminate seepage while also factoring our terrace garden upstairs. Similarly, the exterior of house, they explained why the specific paint is required for waterproofing, while for compound walls and interiors another range is useful.
Basis the same, they had submitted detailed scope of work with a tentative estimate of the project.
The team had ensured that the material and the cost is economical, while at the same time it provides the maximum benefit and overall is economical to the user from a usage perspective, based on the customer's choice! In this case, i went only for usage, and was not very keen on the decorative aspect etc.
In-between, they were very gracious to change the colours for exterior etc. and their billing was exactly in accordance with the estimate, and there were no arguments etc at the time of settlement.

Terrace waterproofing
Further, for terrace waterproofing, in order to give me a peace of mind (because i was very very skeptical if they can execute the work well) the team had registered the house for inspection with Dr.Fixit, who had regularly come and provided updates and certified the project.

Interiors and exteriors
In interiors also, they had suggested to go with waterproof options to strength the building in select areas based on a hydrometer, and 2- 3 layers in areas where the structure of the building was weak.
And in exteriors they had suggested to go with the best weather resistant paint to provide protection against the rains, and also avoiding unnecessary costs such as putty etc. as they patiently explained that it adds to the cost, and also, considering the harsh weather, the putty would crack down and damage the entire building.

i loved this professionalism, and the extent of study that they had done throughout the building, and the manner in which they chose the material depending on the purpose and usage of that place. This is their biggest strength.

The team had also opened a whatsapp group, where they had provided very regular updates on the status of the project. Kudos to the excellent project execution by Sakthi, Alex, Karthik and Manikantan.
Additional Kudos to Karthik for being available 24/7, and patiently handling all the queries, issues etc. At every stage, whenever i had any issues with a specific task, he immediately called (merely based on the text in the whatsapp group), and he immediately responded to the same.
Further, even after the project got over, i loved this fact that the team is providing excellent post-customer support, rather than switching the phones off (i had this issue with the past contractors) !
They had infact been pro-active, and told me to exam the building during the rains, and to post pics incase of any issues to take corrective actions.
And last, during the project execution time, the painters had behaved very well, there were no security issues etc. as the supervisors had adequately followed up with the team.
Overall it has been one of the best, smoothest and tension-free experience i ever had!
