Give a minute read before you buy from lenskart with your hard earned money!
I and my friends had bought more than 20 frames and lenses via my gold premium account till date in lenskart.
The temples of my eyeglass was loose and didn't fit my head in a way the eyeglass would fall if I bend my head down. For this purpose, a few weeks ago I took my eyeglass to this store to repair.
The staff asked me to come and collect the glass the next day. When I went, it was not ready and they asked me to come the following day.
The following day I called them to make sure my glass was ready and after confirmation I went to collect the specs. When I reached there and asked for my specs, they started to search and finally I got to know it was not yet ready. Two of the staff asked me to wait for 5 minutes so that they shall repair my specs. I waited for a while and later I was given my repaired specs.
When I opened my specs box, I was literally disappointed to see the condition of my specs. One of the temples was twisted, broken and pasted with a glue (Refer pics).
On enquiry, the staff replied, "Sir, this is how it could be repaired".
I asked him, "Why didn't you inform me the same before repairing it?"
He replied, "Sorry sir. If you want, you can change the temples of the specs as it cost only 300 Rupees per pair. Your warranty period of one year is over, if not we would replace the specs completely", he said.
I was furious of two things then:
1. For The way he responded without admitting his mistake of breaking my specs. And asking money from my pocket to cover his mistake.
2. The specs was bought in a gold premium offer of 'buy one get one'. For which it priced 7000 rupees. And now for the same specs he says, with just 300 rupees I can change the temples of it. 😳
I warned him finally to change the temples and give me the next day. After getting the specs, now I found he cheated me by putting two different shades of temples that resembles similar (pics attached).
When you get to know someone cheated on you; it's hard to take. You want to give them back. However, I don't want to create ruckus in the store but still being educated I can atleast create awareness to others to not fall into similar bull s****.
Thought, writing the incident here would be the best I could do in return to what lenskart and their staff did to me and my hard earned 7000 rupees.
I am completely disappointed with the attitude of the staff and with the service they provide. I would suggest anyone not to buy specs with lenskart hereafter..
Worst! worst! worst!
