Binod Bhawan, Dhenkanal is the original name of the place. Dhenkanal college in its initial days started functioning from this Binod Bhawan. After that Dhenkanal college shifted to the present place. Nowadays Rotary Club is functioning here for so many years. Rotary international district Dhenkanal is the international organisation for helping needy people and social work.
