Awesome historical place..you more about Ashoka and many other historical point... peaceful, clean & greenery place.

Entry price ₹25 for Indian.

Buying tickets is available only on online mode.
You have to scan QR code and enter 1 National I'd then pay for purchasing tickets.

It is buddhist historical place. Ashoka Chakra & Ashoka piller are placed inside the museum. A 8ft long Buddha statue is placed just opposite side of the museum. Entry ticket will only available through scan pay by paytm or other wallet.

Very peaceful and informative place, museum really full of lots of knowledge and mind-blowing statues related to Buddhism and Hinduism also, between the era 300 BC to 1200 AD. Must visit sarnath ancient stupas and museum.

A great museum, with lot of important artifacts. This museum houses the original current indian emblem that was just beautiful to look at so closely. Tickets to this place is 20 rupees if bought online. If you buy a combine ticket for museum and monument, it will be 25.

Very important historical remains! Nicely protected and preserved. Phones are not allowed inside. Within an hour a whole museum can be seen. The national emblem of India is here. Ashokan pillars with the edicts are here. This is truly a most valuable national heritage. A must visit.

*Sarnath is a good place to visit. Have seen and read many old artifacts in history books, which will be seen here.
*The ticket price is Rs 30 which includes museum and park fare. You can book the tickets via Paytm (Scan QR code at the entrance gate)
*It closes early by 5.30 so plan a day for the first half.
*It is just 10-12 Km away from Varanasi, but due to congested roads and choked traffic journey time is more than 45 mins
*Mobile phones are not allowed inside the Museum premises, but you can carry a digital camera.

It's great to hear Buddha Stories etc. But frankly there's nothing interesting to 'See' (atleast Indians would not enjoy much). Foreigners/ Architects may like. In case you plan to go, then take a guide, only that will make it interesting.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place , I got to learn so much about Buddhism at Sarnath. If you are visiting Sarnath for the first time , I will suggest pls hire a tour guy.
